Elderly and Disabled Adult Personal Care Services (EDA)

The Elderly Disabled Adult program is designed to allow disabled adult/senior individuals the support required to maintain independent living.  The support staff will assist in such areas as:  personal hygiene, household chores, shopping, and activities of daily living, recreational, and/or other areas determined by the Interdisciplinary Team.

Long Term Personal Care Services (LT-PCS)

The LT-PCS program is designed to provide limited assistance with the activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living to eligible recipients.  Assistance may be either the actual performance of the personal care task for the recipient, or supervising and prompting so the recipient performs the task.

Personal Care Attendant Program (PCA)(NOW)

The NOW Program is designed to allow persons with mental retardation and developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible with the assistance of a support staff.  The support staff will assist individuals in such areas as:  personal hygiene, household chores, shopping, activities of daily living, and recreational, and/or other areas as determined by the Interdisciplinary Team. The NOW Program is also designed to allow parents/guardians of individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities to receive temporary relief.  This program is designed to relieve the primary non-paid caregiver.  NOW is funded through the MR/DD Medicaid Waiver.

Supervised Independent Living (SIL)(NOW)

The SIL Program is designed to teach and assist individuals with developmental disabilities skills necessary to function as independently and effectively as possible within the community.  Services are provided to adults within their home or apartment.  Individuals are served through the MR/DD Waiver Services, OCDD contract, or through private-pay contracts.  Each participant must be willing to participate in learning skills necessary to live as independently as possible.  These skills include but are not limited to money management, transportation, housekeeping, cooking, life and health safety, social skills, hygiene and personal appearance, self administration of medication, and the use of community resources.
